Escala Systems provide a set of game-changing virtualization
capabilities which allow the creation of up to 254 independent
dynamic partitions within a single server. Each of these
partition can either be equipped with dedicated CPUs and
I/O adapters or can share these valuable resources with
other partitions.
In order to interconnect partitions
the Hypervisor enables the creation of internal LAN and
Storage networks with almost no actual hardware involved.
This minimizes the need for expensive peripherals as well
as SAN and LAN infrastructure components. Furthermore,
the system can automatically balance CPU and memory resources
over the partitions as a function of actual workloads.
