As early
as the 1980’s, Bull was recognized as one of the leaders
of the Unix world, and a recognized specialist in open IT
infrastructures worldwide. In 1992, Bull participated in
the launch of the Power™ processors with IBM and Motorola,
successfully marking the beginning of a new era for flexible
and adaptable information systems. In 1994, Bull developed
the first SMP multiprocessors on AIX™, and has been
actively participating in the specification and development
of new AIX™ releases ever since, including the current
AIX™ 5.3 release. In 2004, Bull was a founding member
of the Power.org community.
