The IBM System Storage TS2340 Tape Drive combines IBM tape reliability and performance at open systems prices. Features of the Ultrium 4 model:
- Maximum data transfer rate of up to 120 MB/sec
- Doubles cartridge capacity, providing up to 800 GB native physical capacity per cartridge (1,600 GB with 2:1 compression) compared to Ultrium 3 data cartridges
- Includes 3 Gbps SAS attachment
- Includes SCSI Ultra160 LVD attachment
- Adheres to LTO specifications
- Includes support for encryption capabilities designed to work with Application Managed Encryption
- Includes a 19-inch rack mount shelf option, which accommodates a single TS2340 Tape Drive
