The 3582 Tape Library combines IBM tape and automation reliability at open systems prices. Features include:
- LTO Ultrium 3 native data capacities up to 9.6 TB (up to 19.2 TB using 2:1 compression)
- LTO Ultrium 2 native data capacities up to 4.8 TB (up to 9.6 TB using 2:1 compression)
- Use of LTO Ultrium 3 Tape Drives with a drive data rate of up to 80 MB/second native data transfer rate
- Use of LTO Ultrium 2 Tape Drives with a drive data rate of up to 35 MB/second native data transfer rate
- Up to two SCSI or native switched fabric Fibre Channel drive attachments
- Multi-path support for single or multi-server attachment of homogeneous or heterogeneous systems
- Availability improvement with Control Path Failover or Data Path Failover
- Stand-alone desktop or rack-mount configuration
