Summary: This feature provides a 1-port Gigabit Ethernet SX adapter. The adapter in this feature is a 64-bit wide, 133 Mhz PCI-X adapter that provides a 1 Gbps (1000 Base-SX), full duplex, Ethernet LAN connection over standard shortwave multimode optical cable and conforms to the IEEE 802.3z standard. The adapter is designed to support distances of 260 meters over over 62.5 micron multimode fiber optical cable and 550 meters over 50.0 micron multimode fiber cable. The adapter connects to the network via a single LC-type connector located on the end of the card.
