Summary: This feature provides a 2-port Gigabit Ethernet SX adapter. The adapter in this feature is a 64-bit wide, 133 Mhz PCI-X adapter designed to provide two 1 Gbps (1000 Base-SX), full duplex, Ethernet LAN connections over standard short wave multimode optical cable that conforms to the IEEE 802.3z standard. The adapter is designed to support distances of 260 meters over 62.5 micron multimode fiber optical cable and 550 meters over 50.0 micron multimode fiber cable. The adapter connects to the network via two LC-type connectors located on the end of the card.
